Friends and family --- welcome to my public journal of our new adventure. I've decided to publish our escapade here for all to see. It's easier for everyone and might even be fun. Some people already know our basic plans. Even those plans could change so, should your curiosity get the better of you, stop in now and then and track our progress. I don't know how often the updates will come but I'll try to make them as regular as possible.

So... what escapade? For those of you that don't know, my wife and I have decided that city life (and most of it's trappings) has worn us down to the level of inhuman. We have become what so many people loathe--- cogs in the social wheel of mundane. It's time for a change. What that change will be is part hope, part desire, and part mystery. Me? I hope to pursue things like this -- writing projects. Cat's is to create art and possibly become the baker she knows she is. Where? Good question. That's part of the adventure. Current plans have us ending up somewhere in the mountains of Colorado but that could change. Or, it could be temporary. We may decide to travel for a while. Both of us have abilities that are in demand so we won't go hungry.

This log is to become a travel journal as well as a forum of wandering thoughts. I'll try not to bore you.

So when does it all begin? We hope to be leaving here by the end of the month. June 23, if at all possible. We are selling the house and will be moving on. We'll travel down the coast a while and eventually end up in Colorado. It should at least be interesting so follow our progress if you dare.
