Spring?

Just when you think you can start working in the garden, play baseball, or have a cookout, the weather tells you otherwise. We got another 8 inches of snow yesterday. Much has melted down by now but it's going to be here for a few more days, that's certain. Nick started baseball practice this past Saturday and he was supposed to have another practice this evening. Unless the sun does us a huge favor today I think this practice may be cancelled. He's new to the sport and learning the fundamentals. He seems to perform and focus a lot better when there are others involved. That's good. I think if he's willing to stick with it, he will do well.

PTL! Dad is now home and moving about well. We know that soon he will be walker-free and able to, once again, do many of the things he enjoys. He had knee replacement surgery a week ago and after a few struggles with medications, started recovering very nicely. Congratulations on your progress, Dad. I, for one, know how much work it can be getting joint parts to work again. We are glad to hear you're doing so well. Keep it up!

Other news: Dear brother Russ has recently moved back to Colorado and has found work. He says he is very glad to be back. He even got to go fishing on his birthday last Saturday. Seems the change is doing him good.
